A 2-DAY NATIONAL AGRICULTURAL EXTENSION DEVELOPMENT AND COORDINATION COMMITTEE (NAEDC) WORKSHOP HELD AT ALIYU AKWE DOMA BANQUET HALL, GOVERNMENT HOUSE, LAFIA, NASARAWA STATE, NIGERIA, FROM 23RD TO 24TH AUGUST, 2022.
Federal Department of Agricultural Extension (FDAE) of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in collaboration with the State Agricultural Development Program (ADPs) and other key stakeholders in agrcultural extension delivery service held its annual National Agricultural Extension Development Committee Workshop with the theme ‘Strengthening the ADPs for Effective Agricultural Extension Service Delivery at the Grassroots in Nigeria’. The 2-day workshop was held at the Aliyu Akwe Doma Banquet Hall of the Government House, Lafia, Nasarawa State from 23rd and 24th August, 2022. Attendance at the workshop includes, the Honourable Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Dr Mohammad Mahmood Abubakar, the Executive Governor Nasarawa State, His Excellency Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, the Permanent Secretary Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Represented by the Director, Federal Department of Agricultural Extension Engr. Frank Satumari Kudla, the Emir of Lafia and other Royal fathers, Directors from Technical Departments of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Programme Managers and Directors of Extension from the states ADPs, representatives of Extension professional bodies, Coordinators of Donor supported projects, Private Extension practitioners, representatives of farmer organizations, representatives of Universities of Agriculture in the country, officers from the Federal Department of Agricultural Extension and other Stakeholders. The meeting was declared open by the Honourable Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Dr Mohammad Mahmood Abubakar.
